John Marre

Started playing in St. Louis around the turn of the century and was a wingman with St. Leo's and St. Theresa.

Ultimately organized and managed his own teams, the Marres and the Tablers. Credited with doing much to keep the sport alive and moving during the depression years in St. Louis. Served as a member of the Missouri Commission for more than ten years and also served on the National Challenge Cup committee.
