Played for St. Louis Simpkins-Ford in the U.S. Open Cup finals of 1948 and 1950. In 1948 Simpkins-Ford defeated New York Brookhattan 3-2 to win the title and in 1950 defeated Fall River Ponta Delgada 2-0 in the first game and then tied 1-1 in the second to take the cup for the second time. He was a member of the U.S. Olympic team at the 1948 Olympic Games in London and played for the Olympic team against the national team of Israel in Philadelphia earlier in the same year. On the teams way home from London he played for the U.S. Olympians against the Irish League in Belfast. In 1950 he was a member of the U.S. squad at the World Cup in Brazil. He also played for St. Louis Simpkins against Manchester United in 1950 and for the St. Louis Stars against Liverpool in 1953.
